Arsenal may end up not signing anyone in January according to latest reports emanating from the club.
Via Skysports, A close source revealed the intentions of Wenger, stating that the 66-year-old is sure to continue in his parsimonious ways by signing anyone in January.
Arsenal squandered the closest chance of winning the English Premier League two seasons past when the boss refused to make quality signings in the winter transfer window; he only signed Kim Kallstrom and we all know the rest of the story.
Arsenal scout Brian McDermott was quoted as saying:
“The manager won’t spend unless he thinks it’s absolutely necessary,” McDermott told Sky Sports.
“The scouting structure at Arsenal is phenomenal. We all know who the top strikers in the world are. Can you get them to come? They won’t be available in January that’s an absolute certainty.”
When this comes from the club’s chief scout, then you sure know the chances of seeing new players is slim.
There is no telling that the club needs to sign players in the January transfer window if we are to win the English Premier League. We currently have eight first team players out injured.
