The race to sign Edinson Cavani has gotten clearer, as his current club have started to seek for his replacement.
Recent reports suggest that Paris Saint Germaine are trying to secure the signature of Romelu Lukaku from Everton and his Agent, Mino Raiola, has contacted his Everton who have given positive feedback.
Roberto Martinez on being asked his stance on Lukaku’s availability stated that the player would be available if any club makes an irresistible offer for the player.
In his conversation with French radio station RMC, Raiola was quoted as saying:
“Lukaku to PSG? We had a discussion with Martinez, he said he would let him leave Everton if a good offer comes in. But talking about the transfer window now makes no sense.”
Arsenal are in dire need of attackers, particularly strikers and Edinson Cavani might be the messiah we are seeking. The player has scored 7 goals and laid 2 assists in 11 league appearances. The sharp shooter scored 31 goals in 53 games for his club last season; Oliver Giroud is yet to meet the 30-goals mark in one season all through his football career.
Arsenal currently have a host of strikers on their radar; we are also linked to Gonzola Higuain, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The injury to key attackers at crucial points of the league Campaign which has become a recurrent decimal needs to be looked into. A closer look into the situation suggests that it is the same players who get injured every now and then.
