Arsenal are on course to complete the signing of a former attacker, according to reports.
If reports from the Telegraph are to be trusted, then Arsenal could sign Oguzhan Ozyakup from Besiktas if all goes to plan.
Further reports claim that Wenger has taken the attacking midfielder seriously and is willing to bring him back to the club he left in 2012. It is said that the manager sees him as a quality backup for Santi Cazorla who is now 31.
Although the deal is likely not to pull through in this transfer window, it is claimed that a summer move is likely to happen.
Ozyakup left the club as a teenager the same year Robin Van Persie. He later revealed that Van Persie was the major influence in exiting the Emirates stadium. However, it is now reported that the player favours a move back to the premier League, and, in extension, Arsenal.
He has been impressive at Turkey, where he has chalked up 5 goals and 5 assists in 15 League games this season.
Although the Gunners sold the player for a fee in the region of €500,000, they may have to pay as much as £15million for his services to get him back.
