Arsenal have completed the transfer of a defensive midfielder and the fans are advised to look no further.
As per last week’s reports, Isaac Hayden will return to the club from his loan move at Hull City. The 20-year-old was meant to remain at the Championship club until the end of the season. However, mutual agreement from both clubs means that that he will return this week.
The Gunners almost fired blank against Newcastle, where Petr Cech made six saves to prevent the magpies from winning. We failed to score in the first half because our normally superb midfield was out of sort on Saturday.
Aaron Ramsey got the sticks for his performance and that could be traced to the lack of defensive stability in the team.
The return of Hayden can make light Flamini’s burden, giving him the much needed rest he deserves. The 31-year-old almost got red carded for his troubles and there is no telling what some intermittent rest would do for him.
The fans are drooling for a defensive midfielder who has the physical presence needed in a midfield ladened with attacking minded players. Hayden standing almost at 6ft2 may just be that long awaited messiah. Having had his fair share of games in the Championship, he may finally be the next big thing to come out of the Hale end youth academy.
