The fans hoping to see Ezequiel Lavessi at Arsenal are about to have their hopes dashed since reports suggest that the player is going nowhere in the January transfer window.
The South American star has had to settle for a fringe role at the club; having made 3 League starts this season. He is entering the final six months of his contract and could be on his way out since Paris Saint Germaine will not want to lose him on a bosman.
However, agent Alejandro Mazzoni feels that his client is staying put at Paris Saint Germaine.
Via the Mirror, he was quoted as saying.
“At the moment I see no real possibility, the player will not leave in January,” Mazzoni told Italian radio station Radio CRC.
“PSG are doing very well in the Champions League and they want to go as far as possible, that could therefore hinder a Lavezzi departure in January. Next June, Lavezzi will quietly choose his team for next season.”
So here you have it.
The transfer window will open in few hours from now and the fans are eager to know who the manager has in mind since he admits that he will be busy in January. However, the Gooners are advised not to keep high hopes lest they have it crashing like a pack of cards.
