Wenger has said he cannot rule out the possibility of coaching another club in the nearest future if the club decides not to extend his contract.
The manager was a subject of intense speculation after this year’s AGM, when it was insinuated from his comments that he would be leaving the club when his current contract ends in the summer of 2017.
Among the clubs reported to have courted the 66-year-old, Paris Saint Germaine are in the forefront and just recently it was speculated that the Ligue 1 champions are looking to sack their manager, Laurent Blanc, and who else do they have in mind but Wenger.
The boss whose modeling pictures recently went viral was quoted as saying:
“I haven’t decided,” he said. What’s certain is that my attachment to Arsenal will stay with me until the end of my days…. at the moment I don’t see myself having a coaching career elsewhere.”
“If tomorrow morning Arsenal say goodbye and thanks, I can’t swear that I won’t seek to continue to work, to live out my passion. But undoubtedly not in England.”
He is the current longest serving manager in the EPL and has seen over a hundred of colleagues sacked during his 20-year spell at the club. Some sections of the Arsenal fans are of the opinion that he has passed his prime. However,
He seems to have gotten some form of aggressiveness this season. Much evident in the mild scuffle he had with Mourinho during the league game this season.
Just today, he was handed the manager of the month award for the month of October.
